Westin at LAX

Beautiful hotel, rooms and beds yummy, however, the pool and the hot tub were totally unheated, and the frount desk gave us the directions to the pool and failed to tell us that it was not useable. This was a hard ship on me as I am handicapped, and was in a handicapped room, walking to and from the pool was a push for me. Even still I would definately stay at the Westin again.

OK, Stay!

The Westin is very beautiful. We had a magnificient view of the city from our room. However, we did have a problem with the bathtub plumbing our last two days. A plumber was sent both days, but the problem was not solved. Also, the dining room offered a choice of a continental breakfast and full buffet breakfast the first day we were there. The next day we had to order from the menu which was extremely expensive. With the exception of the plumbing problem and high food prices, our stay was OK.

Great Staff

The staff here is great, but the hotel is very lacking. The parking is expensive at * a day. The carpets are tattered and the cleanliness in the public areas is poor. The restaurant is expensive but only diner quality. The room needed refurbishment and the TV was ancient, as was the furniture especially the dirty torn lounge. They nickel and dime you to death even a "free" 800 call was * and wifi was *. I go to L.A. 6 times a year and never again will I stay here. I couldn't believe it was a Westin. The only good part is the lobby and the staff.

Never Again

The best thing about this so called HOTEL is the location. It was small and the goose down comforter was flat and had spots if you held it up to the light. The lounge chair in the corner was torn and didn't look like it belonged at the WESTIN. THe staff was rude and crude to say the least! We incurred additional charges our first night there (Friday) and we left allday Saturday only to return to our prepaid room LOCKED by security with all of our things, not only did I have to pay to get back into our room I was yelled at and talked down to by the so called SECURITY. Not only did I leave a credit card on file at the front desk upon check-in, I parked my car in the valet that was $26./a day! I will never ever stay at a WESTIN again no matter what city or state after this experience.

It wasn't the Westin Palm Springs!

I had stayed at another Westin in the Palm Springs Area and I was expecting the same. Wrong assumption! It was nice but nothing extraordinary! Nice lobby.
