Quiet setting. Clean corridors. Bedroom with king bed and sofa bed in living area. Two TVs. Kitchenette with cups, plates, silverware, coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave. Noisy refrigerator. Good breakfast with tables in lobby and overflow tables in meeting room. Tables cleaned promptly. Friendly breakfast and front desk staff. Some problems with wireless internet in room this visit. Business center with several PCs and printer - opened with room key card and restricted to adults.

I did not know what to expect, but was pleasantly suprised from the moment I pulled up to this Hotel on a slight rise in a wooded area, very near a Indoor Shopping Mall. Exterior an lobby looked very nice and was clean and comfortable. Gave me the slight impression of a ski or hunting lodge, fireplace, cozy chair etc. My room was on the 2nd floor where they have a nicely equiped self use business center. The room was another suprise. Little kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, glasses plates etc., flat screen 32" in living room and bedroom. High ceilings made the room feel larger. I had a view of the very nice looking pool. Breakfast in the morning was self service and free. Two staff members where there to say hello, help if needes and to tidy up.
Beautiful property, bad attitude by one of check-in staff

Before leaving our home, I called the hotel and spoke with ?XXX? to ask about check-in time. She ASSURED me there was no problem with 3:00 or so?if OUR room wasn?t ready, she?d put us in another room. We arrived at 4:00 (giving the hotel even MORE time). At check-in, I was helped by ?XXX?. He advised me my room wasn?t ready; it wouldn?t BE ready for 20 minutes. I asked ?what do I do??his reply (condescending manner)??wait?. I asked what amount would be refunded due to this inconvenience & John said ?again, see me in twenty minutes? and looked over my shoulder and began helping the person behind me, dismissing me. 20 minutes later, my husband inquired about our room; said John wanted to speak with me and told me the manager said no ?refund? or reduced rate could be given because I ?pre-paid?. I asked if the manager was in & he said she was on the phone. I explain why I want to speak with a manager because I?d been reassured of a certain time and then had to wait 20 minutes AFTER arriving 30 minutes later than we stated?to which he responded??I didn?t tell you to wait any 20 minutes??I was ASTOUNDED . He gives me our keys and, again, dismisses me. He said he?d have the manager call me; this never happened. Nice room but low on toilet paper?I called for some?it never came. I called guest services for a cab- John answered & said he?d call for me?I asked if we should come down or if he?d call. He said he?d call. He didn?t. Five minutes after the time we asked to have the cab arrive, I called down to inquire of its arrival?I got John again?he said, ?yeah, it?s here? and hung up.
Would not stay again

Was told by phone that our room was a two queen bed suite, but got a one king and pull out sofa upon arrival, that was all they had left. Linen for pull out sofa was stained and the sofa was very uncomfortable. Called to request more towels and coffee and they said it would be right up, but it never came. The refridgerator made loud startling noises periodically. Had to get up in the middle of the night and unplug the refridgerator. Due to lack of sleep (uncomfortable and noises), tried to sleep in but construction noises started at 0900. Called again in the morning to request towels and coffee which finally arrived. Sanitation grade was a 92 which caused some concern about the breakfast and what was behind the doors where is was prepared and stored. Gave me an invoice under my door for express checkout that was $10.00 dollars less than what I had allready paid via internet service and desk employee stated, "You weren't supposed to get that, your room was all ready paid for by (internet service)" and then was going to rip the paper up. She then became argumentative when I requested the invoice for my records and wanted to cover the mistake by tearing the invoice up.

We ended up staying here because I miss heard the name of the hotel from a friend. The best mistake we ever made. The room was spacious, clean and well stocked. I loved the full kitchen and all neccesary equipment. The daily maid service was nice since some places are now only providing service when you leave. WE had left dishes in the sink when we left and upon our return the dishwasher was loaded and running. I dream of that happening at home - never happens. Although we didn't use the pool it looked nice and was large. I loved the full breakfast available for free every morning - hot eggs, sausage or some other meat, make your own waffles, cereal, bagels, muffins and fruit with coffe, tea, juices or milk to choose from made it complete. They also offer a light dinner Monday -Thursday free - baked potato and soup and salad. Clean room, comfortable bed and spacious room with excellent staff to assist you in any way - will definitely stay here again when in Raleigh.
