excellent hotel - very European

The rooms are small, but this hotel has great service, and the location was perfect for me since my conference was right across the street. The room was very clean, and I was never disturbed by other guests.
Grea Location, Snobby Front Desk

Very much what you would expect from the front desk inhabited by San Franciscans: snobby, arrogant and condescending. The room was great and the location was ideal, but again much was left to be desired in regards to the front desk staff.
Great Hotel for Value

this place is great. While it was a shared bath it wasn't as bad as I thought. The bathroom was clean and private.
This hotel is right in Union Square off of BART and right next door to Westfields mall.
I would def stay here again it's great price for the value.

I booked the Mosser Victorian based on a review that I read on this website - and I was not disappointed. All of the hotel staff were friendly and the front desk staff and doorman were particularly helpful. The hotel itself is charming and well-kept - a blast from the past. It is old-style hotel accommodations served up with professionalism. If you're into cushy frills, this isn't the place for you. The rooms are not large and there aren't a lot of extras. If you want a very cool place to return to at the end of a fun-filled day, it fits the bill. And, the hotel rates were quite reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

Small, but chic. Clean, great location, good service, and great bargain.
If you want a nice place to stay, don't mind having a small room and shared bath down the hall, want to be in a great location and save money, this is the place. Highly recommended. This is where I will stay when I visit San Francisco again.
