Description: Recently renovated, the "old Victorian," now the hotel Mosser, is conveniently located just a few blocks from Union Station and the Powell-Hyde cable car terminus. For a special $49 nightly rate offered by Expedia.com (posted rate in room is $119), I had a cozy (approx. 10x12ft), well-lit and ventilated (large window and light/ceiling fan), but comfortable room, on the eigth floor featuring a queen bed, sink and mirror, and reasonable closet space. A small bedside stand (with cd player/clock unit), writing table, and television, completed the furnishings. The "hall facilities" (one WC and one bath/shower) were shared by four or five rooms as best I could tell and I was never inconvenienced during my nine day stay - a helpful feature was very possibly the light/fan timers in these rooms which could be set for a maximum of 30 minutes at a time.
