Description: It''s hard to give a generalization of the rooms at
The Village at Breckenridge mountainside resort, because it''s so huge - consisting of at least a dozen different buildings each of which has different accommodations. We stayed in a "Village Hotel Room" which was a basic, huge, clean and extremely affordable room (around $80/night, but off-peak) and suited us perfectly. We didn''t spend much time in the room, since we were busy skiing or hitting the town, so it was perfect.
The service was friendly and helpful, and the amenities were good: something like nine outdoor jacuzzis and a heated indoor/outdoor pool plus a great sauna to finish it all off! Very soothing after a long day on the slopes.
The best feature of the resort is its location: you take a 20-second walk to the base lodge where you can rent equipment if you need to, and are then another 10 seconds from the summit lift. Not bad! You''re also within a block of Main Street which holds most of the bars and restaurants in the village.
