Winter weekend in Frankenmuth

Travelling with teens and a 10 year old to kid's sporting events, this worked pretty well. Frankenmuth is quiet 8 miles off the I-75, but you can get to locations along M-23 and I 69 very quickly. Pool gets crowded quickly. Room size is small for a suite, but 2 queens and the sofa couch let teens sleep well. Digital thermostat was appreciated; we could actually control the room temperature. Bath, shower, toilet and sink are cramped in close. In a January winter storm, there weren't any waits at the chicken dinner places. We felt like appreciated guests in a small town.

Small Rooms

it's a stretch to call these rooms "suites." While there was a separate sitting area, the room itself was VERY small. I've been in regular rooms that were bigger. That being said, I should add that the room WAS very clean and very comfortable. And the front desk staff was very6 helpful. Plus the location is great...withing walking distance to all shopping and restaurants.

Wouldn't book here again

The pool was very small. For a "Suite" Hotel we were extremely disappointed. There was so much cholrine it was like dumping bleach in your nose and my husband didn't even go swimming and had to leave because just the fumes made our eyes and nose burn. It burned for hours after you stopped swimming too! I had to ask the front desk 3 times to get towels for the pool and about 10 were bought in each time so bring your own. The alarm clock didn't work so bring your own. We woke up 10 minutes before the breakfast ended because of that and hubby and the kids rushed down to see what little was left and they didn't even have any milk left! The room was a bit dirty, splats of something on a few walls and stains on the furniture and carpet. Go somewhere else. If you want a cheaper room in Frankenmuth, try another hotel or stay somewhere in Birch Run, its only a 5 minute drive into Frankenmuth from there.

be very wary of what you are being charged for a room. The web site said $* but my bill was for $* for one night

great stay
