historic, beautiful lobby and garden

The rooms are adequate but not special. The hotel is said to be haunted, but it is just noisy. The walls are thin, the vents carry sound, and traffic is loud if you open your window. The lobby and gardens are the reasons to stay here. Visiting and having a drink by the fountain is heavenly. The restaurant is good.

I stayed at the Hotel Colorado in February. I love this hotel. Check in was great and very helpful. I really enjoyed our room and the architecture of the hotel. We even had a sales manager show us the Molly Brown Suite. Everyone was very nice and the room was extremely clean. We had a great view of the snowy courtyard. The food in the restaurant was excellent. I will definitely be back. There are many things to do near the hotel.

Historic hotel

We booked two rooms the end of June and traveled with two teenagers. The hotel is wonderful. Lots of history and a great book on the history of the hotel is available in the gift shop, but the $ price tag is a little steep. The meals on the terrace are very good and reasonably priced. Hotel staff was very accommodating and attentive. The hotel is within walking distance of the Hot Springs and downtown restaurants. The Hot Springs are great and we could have spent several days there. Buy the ticket that includes four or eight trips on the waterslide, but be sure to check when the slide closes. It's usally before the pool closes so you can't leave and come back late at night to use the last of your slide tickets. My only complaint was that the rooms in the hotel are not air conditioned and it was very hot. Staff found us fans, but they were of little benefit.

that there's no AC in your room. Summer gets hot, even in the Mtns and there are no ac units in this Hotel. Stay at the Denver Hotel, same location, better price, same historic type setting and building, has AC.

Hotel Colorado is an old historic hotel that has lots of character. The family rooms were great for our family. The hotel is located across the street from the Glenwood Springs pool. We had a fun weekend get away with the family.
