My wife would like to stay at the JW Marriott Houston every time we're in Houston (usually twice a year) if we could. X (I believe) at the front desk provided excellent customer service. Our room and furnishings were nice, and the housekeeping staff did a great job (we did leave a tip for them). One odd thing about the sink area, however, is that there is no place to hang towels or washcloths (no towel rack or bar). Not sure what's up with that. We especially enjoyed the bar/lounge area on the lobby level, which includes flat panel TVs in separate alcove seating areas. This was nice for us to sit with family, relax, and have evening conversation, a drink, and an evening snack. Of course, the immediate proximity to the Galleria is a plus.

I did not have any problems with this hotel stay. From beginning to end it was enjoyable and relaxing. The valet service was very helpful always ready with directions to nearby attractions and even brought my car around so I could get forgotten items. The workout area was wonderful with every machine you could need along with free weight. Afterward the area was always stocked with ice cold water bottles and even fresh fruit. You don't have to ask for anything they are always there to help. The pool was a little small if you are trying to exercise or do laps, but great for smaller kids to enjoy. The beds are always my favorite part with more pillows and blankets than you could need, ,but make you want to stay in bed forever. The hotel was across from the galleria and had plenty of local restuarants to chose from. My son and I nejoyed the comfortable relaxing atmosphere that Texas is known for.
