This was the 2nd time to visit this hotel. December at the beach and the weather was beautiful, cool mornings and evenings as expected but the afternoons were in the high 60's low 70's. Our dogs were so happy, nothing can keep them out of the water. Staff was always helpful and courteous.
Right by the Ocean!

Dog Friendly Hotel right by a dog park and the Ocean. We didn't bring our dogs. But the hotel is clean, has free breakfast, and reasonably priced. We walked to the Ocean, lunch, and the peer. It is also about 8 minutes from Seaworld and a wonderful tennis facility. If we go back to San Diego, we will definitely stay at the Ocean Villa Inn.

If you love dogs or the ocean, this is a perfect spot for both. We have stayed here three times and have already made two more reservations. The Ocean Villa is the perfect spot to stay in Ocean beach. It's right next to the beach and it's only a short walk top some great dining. The downstair rooms are great if you have a dog. An enclosed dog run is right outside your door. If you don't have a dog, take advantage of the ocean views from the second floor. It's friendly.quiet and convenient. to everything in town. The staff is great.
Bring your dog and enjoy.

This is not a fancy Hotel, but it is always nice & clean &, more important, very "dog friendly". It is perfectly located within a few blocks of a fabulous Dog Beach & walking distance of some restraunts that have patios where you can take your pooch. We love the place, have been there several times & WILL go back. The lower rooms open out onto a large grassy area where "parents" & their "pups" can socialize. The ONLY shortcoming is that if you're unfortunate enough to have a bit of a "wanderer" in your pack you need to keep them on a long leash because residents tend to leave their screen doors to the patio open AND their hotel room door to the parking lot OPEN so we had a bit of a scare because our wanderer ran through the room & out onto the street !!! It wasn't like that the first few times we went but it was last time, but thankfully we were aware of it & were able to get him back before he went onto the main road - SCARY - but I'd STILL reccomend the place to dog lovers!
A great place to stay

The Ocean Villa Inn is the best choice you can make ? whether you?re travelling with you pet or missing the one you left home! The rooms are large; I stayed in the ocean view during my last 2 visits to San Diego. The free continental breakfast gets you out to enjoy the sights without wasting a minute. Didn?t try the pool but it looked inviting and clean.
