We recently stayed here 6-4 t0 6-7. This place was an absolute dump. I read the other reviews and decided "ehh it cant be that bad", well it was. The room was filthy, the bathroom towel rack was falling off the wall, and in the hotel pamphlet it said you can request "complimentary housekeeping" at any time during your stay. Well I tried that after night two only to be told no way. To sum it up avoid this place at all costs. It was dirty and cheap looking. you really do get what you pay for. And if you think about it Corpus is really kinda lame. I checked after we got back and we could have gone to a much nicer place in Florida for less or close to the same amount of money. So yeah, check out fares to Ft. Lauderdale or somewhere else. The beaches at Corpus are dirty and the waves are to rough for the kiddos. Port Aransas was awesome but kind of far to drive everyday of our vacation. If you are trying to save money then you are really cheating yourself. Spend the extra thirty or fourty dollars and enjoy yourselves instead of worrying about the filth around you.

This place is a dump, the rooms smell, the rooms are falling apart, restroom dirty, stained towels and they charge you for fresh clean towels because they dont clean the rooms on a daily basis, tv is like a 15", beds are horrible, overall a disgusting place that makes you feel dirtier after youve showered.

We stayed at this hotel for the weekend and what a mistake! The first night there was a bunch of people hanging out in the walkway yelling all night. Didn't get much sleep that night! The next night there were some guys setting their car alarm off on purpose! Finally at 2 AM, my husband went outside and they turned it off. The room was not bad but the bed was hard. I have stayed at Sun Suites before and they were very nice but this one was a disappointment. I would not recommend this place! It is not kid friendly either as you can hear through the walls quite well. The location was good, right off the highway with nice restaurants nearby and Wal-Mart down the street. The office was not open at 8 AM on Sunday (like their hours were posted) for us to check out and we were almost late for our conference.
An O.K. Place

Front desk staff helpful and friendly. Property grounds clean. In-room A/C worked well. The carpet was wet in the room when I arrived, though. Then the toilet wouldn't flush the second time I went to use it. I discovered the ball arm inside was damaged. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting another room or anything, so I dealt with it. They really should've checked the room before allowing someone to stay there. Hotel experience slightly below satisfactory.

The hotel is a very basic extended stay hotel. Value Place is much better. We got this hotel for one night for a weekend getaway. Great location - in the middle of shopping and restaurants. Bad - horrible bed, water temperature completely uncontrollable - either boiling hot or freezing cold, TV had bad color and it couldn't be adjusted due to the remote being a universal, door had big gaps letting in light and noise, really basic furniture. Safety issue - BOTH of the ground fault interrupts near the coffee station and the kitchen in the hotel were BROKEN. You could easily stick your finger into the reset switch touching metal causing a potential shock.
Recommendation: spend the extra $ a night and go somewhere else!
