Description: If you are looking for serenity located just feet from downtown, this is your place. The Santa Fe Motel and Inn feels more like you are staying at your fun rich aunt's place. The staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms are amazing. I felt more at home here than I do at my own home. They offer a complimentary hot breakfast, which is delicious with locally made bread and hot eggs, yum! In the mid-afternoon they even serve cookies with coffee, tea, and lemonade (lending more to the feel of staying with family). There are freshly cut flowers by your bed, chili peppers on all the towels to add to the southwestern feel (which my mom ended up taking home to cook with). The outdoor eating area is beautiful with a kiva/fireplace located in the corner. The other guests were extremely friendly when we had common breakfast hours and although the hotel was close to a major road it remained pretty quiet at night.
My mom and I stayed in a room with double beds for around $100 a night. The rates change seasonally so if you are planning a visit in the off season the room rates can drop to around $70. There are also two pet friendly casitas with private patio entrances to make you pet feel right at home. There is Internet access and also a laptop for guests to use in the dining area. All rooms have free cable TV, air-conditioning, hair dryers, and irons. Overall our experience was excellent here. Each room has a patio area painted a great bright blue and shaded by anple growing vines. Honestly if I could afford it I'd live here.
