Description: The hotel, in the Arc De Triumph and Champs Elyess neighbourhood, is about 5 minutes from metro station Wagram, 10 minutes from Villiers, or 15 minutes from Pereire.
The room itself was very basic, with a separate bath and toilet, which was very helpful for the two of us to get ready early in the morning, without having to wait for one to vacate the toilet/bath. The bath had a tub shower and a sink, and there was just enough space for one person to stand. It was the same thing with the toilet. Since we were using the hotel only as a base to come back to in the night after sightseeing, we did not find it uncomfortable.
Our price (€75/night, booked in the last minute on ratestogo.com) included a buffet breakfast everyday and a cruise ticket on the Seine. Since we were in Paris for only 4 nights, we were short on time to see all the attractions and the early buffet breakfast was a great help. The breakfast was good and fresh and we had no complaints.
If you are looking for a romantic time with your partner in Paris, then this is not for you, but if your main aim is sightseeing and you are on a budget looking for decent accommodations, then this hotel is great. It’s almost in a central location and the safe neighbourhood is of advantage, especially when returning late at night.
Quick Tip: If you do have luggage, it is a good idea to take a cab from the airport, or at least, the nearest metro. It soon gets difficult to climb the metro steps to change trains and to pull your luggage for the short 5-min walk to the hotel.
