Our stay at the Hilton in Milwaukee, WI

  • 5 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com

Quote: The hotel was great. I felt like I was in Vegas by the way our hotel room was. It was over the top. We ordered room services and it was great. We just ordered cheese burgers and fries. But they were awesome. We had a great view of the city as well. The bed bed including the sheets were super comfortable. I would tell anyone to stay there. And to top it off they have a great waterpark there also.

Perfect Hotel for Summerfest Trip

Quote: I have stayed at this Hilton multiple times over the years and have had a great experience every time. The hotel in on the bus path to conveniently catch the shuttle to Summerfest if that is the purpse of your tripThe hotel is a bit dated, but I believe they are in the process of refurbishing all of the guest rooms. I expect to get a newly decorated room next year. The breakfast buffet is a reasonable price, but not cheap. I think the vast food offering make the price justified. I never leave hungry. The Miller Time Pub on the first floor has great food, great atmosphere and is a fabulous place to catch up with friends.

Historic, Great Service and Well-Located for Downtown Milwaukee

Historic, Great Service and Well-Located for Downtown Milwaukee
Quote: The Milwaukee Hilton City Center is an historic property, built in the golden age of grand city hotels and still featuring all of the flourishes from that bygone era. It's been well-restored without giving up its charm and reminders of the past. Rooms are comfortable, clean and good-sized, easily maintaining Hilton standards while still retaining some of the ambiance of the original structure. That said, you won't feel like you're in an "OLD" hotel; just something that's up-to-date while not suffering from some of the "cover it over" renovation techniques that you will see in properties that have been kept in service through less sensitive measures of the years. One interesting and unusual feature is an urban water park, Paradise Landing.... Read More

Great location, great staff.

Quote: Stayed here with some friends for a Bucks game and had a great time. I was a little nervous when booking as I had the condition of the hotel was a little rundown, but I guess I can understand that considering the hotel was built in the 1920's! With that in mind, I found the Hilton to be very charming with the architceture and such. Yes, it's an old building, but I doubt the hotel itself can do much to change the fact that it's a building thats over 90 years old. Our room was small, but we just needed beds to sleep in. :) We stopped into the Miller Tiime Pub before and afer the game and had a great time. Several of the bartenders enjoyed talking sports with us and were more than knowledgable when it came to recommending ""must... Read More

No Complaints Here

Quote: We stayed in June during the busy season. The staff was nice. The view was magnificent. It rained a lot during the stay so it was nice to be able to order from local food places. Domino's will deliver to your room for a small delivery fee. The price was reasonable. The real pleasure was the indoor water park. The kids loved it! It was so easy to access. It offered a jacuzzi and several staff monitored the children while you relaxed. We had a memorable time and we will return next June.

Quote: When we arrived the bell man didn't take no for an answer when I told him he didn't need to take our luggage. We would take it ourselves. He snapped at me saying "I got it" in a real mean tone of voice. My boyfriend had to let him know that were handling our own. Then he walked away mad. The room smelled like old and stale. When we woke up the next day, I had a bug bite on my face. My boyfriend had a bug bite on his face and on back of his neck. We tried connecting our laptop to WiFi (wireless internet) and they said we had to pay $* for a 24 hour use. Wouldn't you think this being the Hilton that they would offer free wireless internet like majority of the other hotels and motels do? Parking was another issue. You had to pay... Read More

Too Hot

Quote: Location great but beware of staying between seasons. The hottest hotel I have stayed at--EVER. The heating/cooling system is old --you get heat or cool--no choice. Room so hot I sweat all night and was a mess for my business meeting. Contacted maintenance, nothing they could do. No offer of a fan. Other guests had same complaint. Reserved for three nights, t left after one night. Couldn't stand it any longer. Desk made no effort to arrange transfer to another Hilton property. Did eventuall refund. The hotel has potential to be a Milwaukee gem. Too bad

Hilton should be embarassed

Quote: I was at the hotel for a convention. When we got to the room, there was food on the floor and someone else's shoes. Later, we found reddish brown stains on the pillows and coffee grounds still in the coffee maker (not from us). Our sheets were not changed, and when housekeeping came to change them at 12:20 am (we called at 6:00 pm), we were told second shift does not do beds because that was women's work anyway.
