Great location - good value

We stayed here for a long weekend in Austin. The hotel was nothing fancy, but it was everything we needed. A bed, a shower and a TV. The refrigerator was nice to have, too. This place is just south of downtown. Sixth Street is walkable, though we drove since it rained almost the entire time we were there. If I am ever in Austin again, I will definitely consider Homestead Suites. We caught the South by Southwest rates, but they were still VERY reasonable for downtown Austin in a good area.

Awful smell all week

Lobby/hallways/public areas all smelled bad consistently for the whole week we were there. We had to hold our breath and run to our room.

to economize, i didn't rent a car for my business trip.i was 1 mile from the convention center and the entertainment district, which was walkable, for me
