Beautiful hotel

Overall I liked this hotel. It's beautiful and historic - just expect massive glittery weddings, filming, etc. because of the beauty of the building. The staff was friendly. The halls smelled like cigarette smoke, perhaps they should separate smokers from nonsmokers more. Rooms don't come with refrigerators. Valet parking is crowded and pricey ($*/day), there isn't any street parking but there are other lots in the area. Downtown is centrally located to tourist attractions if you have a car. Fitness center equipment needed servicing. Restaurants in immediate area are either lunch spots for the office workers or very expensive and nice lunch & dinner spots - for inexpensive family friendly dinner places you have to be out of downtown, also Sunday mornings food availability outside the hotel is very limited in the area. Make sure to check out the LA Central Library across the street.
