Should have stayed somewhere else

Got this room because the price seemed reasonable. It wasn't as bad as some places but things like the light switches and corners of the showers were really grimy and there were hairs in the bathroom. No hot water. I was freezing after my luke warm shower. Remote controls AND controls on the TV were broken. Sheets wouldn't stay on the bed. Bad neighborhood.
Upon check in I had to fill out one of those cards with the make and plate # of my car. Checking out the desk lady was extremely unpleasant, grumpy and rude. She said we had to pay for having visitors and that they "had it on camera"!
When booking online it said NOTHING about a "no visitors" rule. We had some visitors come in that morning and were only there for a few hours and she made me pay an extra $35! Then she said that we had been smoking in the room even though we don't smoke cigarettes and our friend had only smoked on the balcony and wanted to charge us $50! Breakfast wasn't that great and they wouldn't even let you take anything to your room.
11:30 was the latest they'd give for "late" checkout and they were calling and freaking out at 11:37 when we were getting our bags out.
Will never stay there again.
