I found the hotel actually very nice for it's age. I am an Industrial Equipment Specialist in the Laundry and Drycleaning Industry and have seen literally 1,000's of hotels in the years, and have stayed at some that are like an old lady with a face lift. It just doesn't work. This hotel is located right in the downtown area very easily within walking distance to just about anything you want. It is also very convienent to access the parking lot, which if you have stayed in Indianapolis before you will know exactly what I mean. The room was actually pretty good for the age of the hotel. Very clean, decent bedding, not superb but not bad either. The bathroom was a little small for me but I am a big guy so you'll have to take that into consideration. Overall a very decent hotel one that I would stay at again, it's to bad that they will be tearing it down to replace it with a new hotel, hopefully it will be done right unlike so many that are just the same old crackerjack box that they are today.

I stayed at this hotel for the United States Grand Prix 2007. i have to say, it was the most pleasant. i remember coming back from practice, me and my sister couldnt hear very well due to the loud noises after we forgot to bring our ear plugs. the manager at the front desk offered us free plugs, which i thought was definitely something special and very welcoming. they know im here for the race, and treated us accordingly. the rooms are good, what else do oyu expect from a marriot? its very clean and very comforting, unless youre paris hilton of course. overal a very satisfying stay. the staff was great and very welcoming, reassuring to our every need. i just wish there would be another grand prix so i could stay here again. thank goodness i found this hotel.
A nice stay with an unpleasant end

The stay at the actual Hotel was great with courteous and attentive staff and clean comfortable rooms. But the Hotel needs a better transport system to and from the airport. After being told by the hotel the rate to the airport was a flat $15 the driver tried to charge us over $20 before tip. Whether it was a shady driver or poor information from the Hotel staff it put a sour end on an otheriwse great trip.

One of the most comfortable hotels in Indy. Excellent Staff - will be staying there again.

The hotel staff was extremely accommodating giving us a room early with smiles and pleasant conversation about the purpose of our visit. The room was exactly as indicated and clean, room service was available later than most hotels, restaurant on site was pleasantly staffed with outdoor seating. I would choose this hotel again over any of the others in the city just because of the staff and service.
