Not the best stay for my girlfriend and I

The check in at the hotel was quick and easy. The hot cookies were great. However, the description of our room was one king bed with balcony and city view. There was no balcony, the carpet was out dated, and though the bathrooms were nice and elegant, they had no exhaust fans. This made things a little awkward. When we needed to stay another night, the front desk almost had to call a rocket scientist. The breakfast was not free; forty dollars for two to be exact, and it was not good. I am no picky eater either. On top of this, the breakfast staff engaged in an argument about crumb wiping procedures with our table in between them. This was very classy. Every morning the guests or staff above us began slamming stuff around at seven am. The indoor hot tub and pool are nice, but be careful. The hot tub is EXTREMELY hot, and was about a hundred and ten degrees. Our skin was red when we got out. The surface of it is uncoated and extremely rough. There is a very deep entry step that I missed one night. It took the skin off of my foot and rolled my ankle. I had not been drinking either. When I asked for the first aid kit that they claimed to have for each guest, the clerk opened a gray box and gave me some one inch band aids. I went to the grocery store for my own. Durango is an awesome beautiful place, but don?t let this hotel ruin your stay.
would go back!!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Durango Doubletree! The staff was very friendly to us and our two small dogs. My daughter loved the fresh baked cookies. The bathroom seemed to have been recently updated. The hotel was conveniently located to the train depot too.
Wonderful Place to Stay!!!

Arrived on a cold rainy day. Received two warm chocolate chip cookies upon check in at the front desk. That was a wonderful way to greet us I thought. The beds are extremely comfortable and so are the pillows!!! Great help at the front desk with directions to places in the area. Room service was quick. Great place to stay!! I would DEFINITELY go there again. It was a little more expensive than some others but I felt it was really worth it. It was also very centrally located to the downtown area of Durango and we were able to walk from the hotel to all the stores and shops easily. The train station was right across the street. Great Location.

I really enjoyed the Doubletree. The hotel was very clean. The service was fast, we asked or extra cups and room service came right away. Our room faced the city and it was still a very beautiful view. All the employees were polite and kind. I have never had housekeeping being chatty and friendly before. The pool was nice, but it was down for cleaning two of the nights. My husband and I lift weights and they only had had dumb bells for us, the other equipment was nice though. The dining was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone traveling. We have a 5 month old baby and had no problems.
