The room was clean, roomy enough for 2 adults and 1 teen. and comfortable. Staff did a great job for breakfast. The happy hour was nice touch. The location was close enough to shopping at Old Town, the Fashion Mall and the Casino. We will stay here again the next time we go to the Phoenix area. I have already recommended to several friends.

The suite was just right, no complaints and the daily breakfast was just right to start the day, not to mention the nightly happy hour, I had a great pesto chicken salad on the 4th Floor Resturant, (the sports bar looked like a fun place to hang out,) very helpful concierge and front desk, I'm already anticipating a returned stay at the Chapparal Suite with friends.
The location was perfect for a solo traveler with the the nearby mall and spas and downtown shops and restaurants.
Nice for the price...

The hotel was older, but had a nice layout, we stayed towards the back area, which was quiet. Rooms were spacious & clean. The breakfast was OK, considering it was included. Front desk staff & bar staff were very nice. We ate at the bar once - good food. Hotel was also in a good location, near shopping & restaurants & also near Camelback mtn for hiking. Other reviews stated the beds were hard & not comfortable - not the case in our room - the bed was a bit on the soft side & very comfortable.

Very pleased with everything that was included in our 1 week stay. The made-to-order breakfast was great. The advise from the front desk and concierge was very helpful. Although the hotel is more than 25 years old it is well maintained just not as modern as newer places.
We liked th 4th floor bar. Was nice for lunch and for watching sporting events. They had on 9 different NFL games on Sunday.
The complimentary 2 hour cocktail hour(s) was a nice touch.
Excellent value for the money

We (local residents) have stayed here the past couple years in the summer for two reasons only: the two-hour happy hour (a.k.a. evening reception) and the full breakfast. We love the 4th Ave Grill (hotel restaurant) as well. We have had many happy trips (maybe b/c of the happy hour?) and lasting memories. The only thing I have to complain about is the dated rooms, but I understand they are under going renovation at this time. The rooms are very clean otherwise. The two-room suites are nice. We will continue to stay here in the years to come.
