Poor Security & Room Location

Downtown location excellent. Close to public transportation. Room pleasant and well kept. However, the room location was extremely iinconvenient, a very, very long walk from the lobby with no elevator between floors. After an all day flight I was not in the mood for a journey getting to my room. Making matters even worse was the fact that the only inside hallway to my room was closed for renovations during my stay. To get to my room I had 2 options. I tried the parking garage route first but couldn't figure out which way to get where I needed to go. I was not about to wander around a parking garage at 11 pm. The other option required me to walk outside. The walking route had a number of areas that were poorly lit even though the desk assured me the hotel 'prides itself on excellent security'. Difficult to believe when portions of the route had no lights - some security! Regardless of the hotel's good points security, especially as a woman travelling alone, can not be compromised. Was the poor room assignment due to the reduced price through online travel website?

Rooms were nice and comfortable but Courtside rooms are older and and not as nice as the Towers. Furniture is old and almost antique. The Wi-Fi reception was poor and ethernet connection did not boost transfer speed. Free coffee machine is available but you have to call the guest service to have one delivered to your room. Room service was late in the day. You have to walk outside to reach reception.
Get booked in the main building!

This hotel is really a combination of a true hotel and an adjoining motel with room doors leading to the outside. Really bad experience if you get stuck in the "motel" section: loud, can't use the fitness center, security looked iffy.
Misleading!

Checked into at 4 star hotel, and was not impressed. Courtyard/Garden View rooms were 2-2 1/2 star max. Dated, sink plugged, no coffee pot in room...very disappointed. A 3 star in Salt Lake City elsewhere would have been a much better hotel. I do not recommend this hotel.
