nightmare at quality inn

after a long day of traveling we arrived at our hotel to freshen up before we go out to the casinos. While i am getting settled in my boyfriend who is an die hard pistons fan turns on the tv to watch the series only to find out that our tv dont work. Ask front desk to change our room but there was no rooms available until the next day. The following morning we find that our water is brown and not hot. After changing rooms we find that there is mice traps in our room along with the balcony door decaying so bad that the light from outside shined in to the room. The brochure and the pictures on the internet are misleading. The pool was not operable, no elevator. It looks like choice hotel bought a run down hotel and put the name and price but not quality into this location. For a hotel name Quality inn there was nothing quality in this hotel stay. I have stayed at lot of choice hotels and this has been the worst.

1- Hotel is in a really seedy area... do not plan to park a Jag there or it wil not be there for long (hopefully, if you have a Jag you can afford better accomodations, anyway) 2- FAR, far from casinos... you are not going to be walking there... or anywhere worth getting to. 3- Room was relatively clean, not in great shape, however. Lots of party damage, & room smelled like skunked Budweiser. Phone did not work. For $50 a night, it would be a decent enough place to host a keg party (if I was much younger) or to use as a crash pad after a one night gambling stay (via cab). For what it cost, not worthwhile.

Needs an Overhaul

Gave the "Not so" Quality Inn a second chance, as my 1st stay was adequate for <$100. The second time around, 1 year later, the price was higher, the room was falling apart and not clean, and I felt about as safe as a glazed donut in a free buffet line. Will never go back!

a/c was broken with ice falling out of it. dead roach was in the bathroom and toilet was dirty. there was no microwave or coffee maker like specified and refrigerator was broken. We did get another room as we requested, staff insisted that maintenence checked the room first to see if we were telling the truth. In our new room, there was an a/c unit stuck to the back of the wall and it took forever to get cold. there were stains on the walls and stains on the fridge. the microwave and coffee maker sat in the middle of an old kitchenette that had a broken down stove. I wanted to swim but someone used it as a toilet! I had gang member looking dudes as my neighbors and they were loud. It was also very loud in the hallways. Breakfast was horrible and the lobby was crammed.I will spend the $*/night to mr trump next time.
