Semi-comfortable Comfort Inn

The Comfort Inn Deerfield Beach was a mixture of good and no so good.
The desk staff was wonderful, the other employees I encountered were very nice. The fridge and microwave were spotless, and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was okay. But there were some problems.
The room smelled strongly of mildew and mustiness. The ice machine on our floor was out of order -- in fact, only two in the entire motel worked. Half of the channels on the TV (ordinary things like CNN, etc) had a big black rectangle over the bottom half of the screen. And in the morning, a scuba for diving class took up the entire deep end of a rather small pool from just after 9 a.m. until 11:30. The other end of the pool was for kids coming down the slide. That left no where for adult guests to swim! The promised WiFi in the rooms did not work (talked to other guests who all had the same issue, so it wasn't my computer.) And $7 for parking in their ordinary parking lot is silly...either include that in the rates, or don't charge. It's a motel! Parking is part of the process of staying at a motel! There was also a mandatory $2.00 per night safe fee...I had no need of a safe, but still the fee had to be paid. Again, work it into the rate and let people know up front what the real daily rate is.
Overall, I'd say it was okay as a place to sleep for a night on a trip, or if you just want sleeping facilities while you're at the beach, but certainly NOT a destination choice.

This hotel is not for anyone with teens. They hound your teens constantly and tret you very different. I would not recomend this to my enemy. Security guys are terrible. Do your self a favor stay some where else.

The hotel was very clean. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The pool is great for kids, they love the slides! Very convenient to the beach and restaurants and shopping. I felt safe knowing after 11pm you had to use your room key to enter the building. The area is very family orienented. I would stay again at this hotel.
Fun Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation while staying at this hotel. The room was nice and clean. The staff was great and helped with every request we had to accomodate our 19 month old child. The location to the ocean was AWESOME, and the beach was great...not too crowded and just a short walk from the hotel. There is a subway attatched to the hotel which is okay, but there are resturants within walking distance or just a short drive away. The slides in the pool were alot of fun also. Finding the hotel was a breeze from the FLL airport. We would definitly stay here again.

I thought it was rude they charged us extra for parking but they said it was standard for the area
