We would not stay here again

We enjoyed the convience of being a mile or so from the lake and in walking distance of casinos and restaurants. Although, the front desk was not helpful when you needed something, such as turning the lights on for the jacuzzi it seemed that we were imposing on them. The staff did not try going that extra step for their customers. The rooms were clean but there was no coffee maker or mini fridge to store late night snacks. There were 2 times that within a 5 hour span of leaving our room to sight see, the room had not been cleaned. The day spa in the hotel did not offer massages or spa treatments, it should have been labeled a hair salon for the elderly. The food at Josh's was very good, a romantic setting with excellent service.

Ruined Vacation!!

Their Heat was out, and we Froze in the room. They would not refund our money and were unwilling to work with us to fix the situation. Uncomfortal bed & stained carpet, unhelpful staff, loud construction every morning, THIS PLACE WAS HORRIBLE!! We had to leave early because we litteraly felt sick sleeping in an ice cold room. No heat IS a deal breaker!! Their manager refused to let us refund even the unused portion of our stay. This place ruined our Vacation, BEWARE!!
Horizon Hotel and Casino

The hotel is in a great location in South Lake Tahoe ( just one block from CA/NV stateline).Staff was very helpful with setting up lake cruises and other activities.Rooms were clean and comfortable.Shopping a short walk away.I would stay here again.
Great For Families

This is a good hotel with lots of activities for kids to do while mom and dad are gambling. The rooms are basic but clean and the staff was very helpful. We had an issue with my son's medication and the staff went out of their way to help us. It was easy to navigate the kids around the casino area and there were plenty of places to eat and shop.
