We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn at Beacon Hill. The convenience of the location was exceptional and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The rooms were good and a little dated, but the staff makes the hotel - they remembered us, asked how our sight seeing was going and made our kids feel special. We found ourselves looking forward to getting back to the hotel to tell them about our day!
The hotels is near 4 different T lines - so you don't need a car to get around - and is a short walk to Quincy Market, the Boston Common and Public Garden and near the Charles River.
We will definitely stay here again next time we come to Boston.

We booked our stay through Hotwire and from the moment we walked in the staff was rude and kind of aloof since we weren't paying full price. In addition, our room proved we weren't paying full price, it was small, cramped and the furniture was chipped- we were on the 2nd floor and they must have put all the party-people on our floor because Saturday night was AWFUL- people yelling and talking and slamming their doors from 2:00 AM on. We complained but it would be quiet for 5 minutes and start back up. I think the rooms may have been nicer on other floors- but ours was kinda dumpy- if I had paid full price I would have wanted my money back. The location was terrific, but the staff and the room was not that impressive! I would not recommend.

the hotel was in a great location, walking distance to almost everything Rooms were small but clean and beds were confortable although the pillows left a little to be desired. they did have a pillow menu and were glad to bring anything you wanted. Staff was friendly.

We loved the Holiday Inn Boston at Beacon Hill. The staff were very professional and competent; the room was clean, safe and fully functional; and the location of the hotel couldn't be beat (central to nearly everything). We would DEFINITELY stay here again the next time we are in Boston. The hotel is also close to two subway ("T") stops, so access to the rest of the city was a breeze.
