The service in this place is the worst I have ever seen. The staff is rude and not helpful at all. The only 2 good things about this hotel is the open air pool on the 11th floor and that I had a room on a 29 floor, so the views were nice. Otherwise the hotel is far from everything, service is bad, staff is rude...

really poor

This is the worst 3 star hotel I have been stay, this time I were attrached by their claimed 4 star rating, but in fact it is only-2 star or lower,it is isolated locate in the veg & fruit wholesale market, far away from everywhere, not only leaking water in bath room to complain, smelly and old fashion room is a major concern, privacy is assured, because no room services, limited supply of toilet paper, only less than half role a day????unbelievable bad services. This is the feeling of every one I meet.

Nice room but very bad service. It seems a 4-star hotel, but it is a facade. A too big hotel (2 towers, 25 floors) which makes it uncomfortable for a stay. The suite room is big and clean.

We arrived at 3pm and our room was not ready, they were still cleaning. They made us wait for 15 minutes at reception without being asked whether we wanted anything to drink.

The receptionist wrote the wrong room number, so the baggage guy could not open our room. We waited again for him to get the correct room number. Later, one of the staff gave us wrong directions to the wrong swimming pool (there are 2).

Breakfast was OK. There was a cook making omelettes who disappeared and left a burning/smoking pan in the middle of the buffet.

The safe broke with our documents inside. Safes are cheap and break often (apparently hotel technician had to fix several during same morning). At 10am we asked the personnel to open our safe, they told us in 10 minutes the hotel technician would come to our room and fix it. Nobody came. At 10:45am we asked again and were told the technician was coming. Nobody came. At 11:15am I went to reception. They told me the technician was in our room. I phoned my partner, but the technician was not there. Finally at 11:30am the technician come and open the box.

The bad hotel service wasted 5 hours in total of our weekend in Bangkok (4 friends waiting in reception).

Summary: I have been to other 4 star hotels in Bangkok for similar price and better service. Go to any other than Prince Palace. Do not worry about location, taxis are inexpensive.

Hotel is nice. The only thing-location.It is far from everything. You can't walk any good places from the hotel, have to take a taxi or a tuk tuk.Otherwise it is good.If you prefer to stay closer to night life do not stay in this hotel.Room service very nice in this hotel.Brekfast very good too.front desk stuff a litle bit pushy in term of transportation. They force you to take they own van, which is 3 times more expensive then regular taxi.

This is a newer building, with rooms similar to those at a Best Western or Comfort Inn in the USA. It's a good value, but you can easily hear plumbing noises and closing doors from the other rooms, which might wake you up early in the morning. There are blackout curtains that keep out nearly all the light in the morning and mini-fridge, cable TV, and plenty of places to put things. There are simple amenities in the bathroom and a marble counter and tiles. The room was clean overall, but there was black mold in the bathroom grout, which could have easily been removed with a little bleach. We had a great view (room no. 2214). We also had a desk, two chairs, and a table. This was a large room for a budget hotel. They do not have an iron and ironing board for guests to use (you have to use their pressing service, which isn't available at all times). This was a major negative for me, since I arrived with a suitcase full of wrinkled clothing. The beds were of medium firmness, which was a nice change from the usually rock-hard beds in Thailand. The in-room safe was free to use.

This hotel management apparently thinks that guests are there to take things from the room. For example, the toilet paper holder in my room's bathroom had room for two rolls of toilet paper, but they only put in one roll. There was a price list posted that listed what you would be charged for each item missing from the room upon check-out. When we checked out in the morning, we had to wait nearly 10 minutes at the front desk while they had a maid inventory our room for missing items before they would give us our receipt. This wasted precious time while we were trying to get to the airport.

The biggest problem with this hotel is that it's not within reasonable walking distance of either the regular trains or Sky Train. It took us 25 minutes to walk to the nearest Sky Train station (National Stadium). Because there's no transit in this area, traffic is heavy, so you can take a taxi, but you'll sit in traffic. Even though the hotel was a good value at $35 per night, I would only stay here again if everything was booked elsewhere.
