My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night because we were in town seeing a concert. We got the room with a king bed and it was really clean and really nice. The halls smelled a little musty, but that was the worst thing about it. The bathroom was clean and the air conditioning worked well. And breakfast was delicious, it's not really a buffet, but there was a nice choice. Would definately stay again, my stay was overall awesome.

My girlfriend and I booked the room to just have a mini getaway for our anniversary. The room was very clean, spacious, the internet was well worth it, the mini fridge and microwave came well in handy. The hotel staff was very helpful when I needed directions to a particular location. I would def book a room here again.

this hotel is directly across the street from the fairgrounds which made it perfect to actually walked across 301 to the ampitheatre to see the show that we came to Tampa for, as with most of the other people staying in the hotel. which made it so a great fraction of the guests were coming back to they're rooms after the late show so i would not reccomend this hotel to a family really but if you're with a group of friends just needing a decent place to crash this is definatly the place. i'd also like to compliment on the awesome shower. would suggest bringing extra pillows, ours kinda sucked but that was the worst of it.
Be careful if you book through outside site

Our reservation was prepaid but out room was given away between the time we checked if it was ready @ 12:00pm until we checked in @8:00 pm. We paid for a King w/fridge and microwave and got 2 doubles with hair all over the sink and Ice bucket, dirty wash cloth on the sink, broken night latch and non working phone. Desk didn't seem to care and were happy to refund the money back to the booking source. Breakfast was Ok but no waffles, like the other LaQuintas and the AC was broken in the breakfast area. Stay at your own risk!!!

La Quinta is known to be a very nice hotel but this one is just old and needs upgrades. As soon as you walk in it just smells really bad, elevator is in poor condition and the hall ways are just horrible. Carpet is old and dirty in the rooms and hall ways. Room service wasn't so great, they didnt make our beds one morning, and only provide one small trash bin and thats not good when your traveling with children. Breakfast is supposed to be 6am-9am I went downstairs at 6:15am and they didnt have anything set up yet, my 5yr old was very upset. Since we were on our way to the airport we figured we could grab some breakfast downstairs. Although there food was not too bad, they had bagels, eggs, waffles, muffins, coffee and OJ. Not bad for free breakfast. That was the only good thing about the hotel.
