Great Location

The New Yorker is ideally located for the walking traveller: Times Square and Broadway Theatres, Macy's, Empire State, and many restaurant. Located at 8th AVenue and 34rd St, it is also adjacent to Penn Station and many bus and subway lines. The rooms may be small, but who stays in their room in New York. The rooms are well appointed and the the art deco heritage of the hotel is being maintained in many ways. Add a wonderful breakfast place in the Tick Tock Diner at reasonable prices, and this hotel was a winner.

Over all stay was good , secure, safe, clean, maids were good. It is not the kind of room to stay and lounge in but, was good for sleep and shower. A little small.

The New Yorker is located within walking distance of all the major midtown attractions. If you have plans downtown, or any part of the area, Penn Station is RIGHT THERE- with all the connecting undergrown trains. We also enjoyed having the Tic Tock Diner in the hotel. We like to eat a large breakfast late, unlike New Yorkers who grab a pastry and run. The diner serves 24 hours, whatever you would like. We would eat a very late lunch out(or early dinner to the locals), see a show, then dine at the Tic Tock for a bedtime snack. We were even able to ride a ricshaw bicycle from the theatre to the hotel faster and cheaper than a cab. The New Yorker is quiet, clean, affordable and perfectly located. Highly recommended!!

The New Yorker is centrally located and within walking distance to all midtown attractions. If you need to go downtown or into other city areas, Penn Station is across the street. The Tic Tock Diner(in the hotel) serves huge, delicious breakfasts that are rare in New york. Transportation, information, all services were kindly given. We were very happy with the stay!

The Ramada New Yorker was a great find. It was centrally located near 1/2 block from Penn Station and Madision Square Garden. We were able to walk and subway it everywhere. The hotel was clean, bright and friendly. Our room was clean, remodeled and with two bathrooms. I would definately stay there again!
