Honeymoon Stay

My husband and I had an opportunity to stay at this hotel while on our honeymoon. The facilities were very nice, and the room was very clean. The only complaint was that there were children running up and down the hall continuously. When asked for a room change, the receptionist told us that we would have to downsize from a king to double bed. It is sad that we could not enjoy our trip because the noise issue was not addressed by staff.

I stayed at the Embassy March 2009 and I must say it was wonderful. The suite was large, roomy, and clean. The free made to order breakfast was sufficient and saved money. The atrium is nice and its closeness to the airport is outstanding. I would absolutely return to the Embassy when in Charlotte and I would recomment it to all my friends and family.
Not Up to usual Embassy Suites Standards

Very bad location in Charlotte. Sirens go off all night and there is nothing of interest within walking distance. Both breakfast and manager's receptions were badly managed and laid out. One person serving drinks for a full hotel is ridiculous. Breakfast was no better, stood in line for 20 minutes or more for an omlette each morning. On the last morning, Memorial Day, they even shut down the self-serve line, so the wait was even longer. However, the food itself really wasn't worth waiting for. I have stayed in many Embassy Suites and this food was the worst. Pathetic omlettes dumped on the grill, over-cooked bacon, no waffles, very ittle fruit that was going bad, etc. And, the place was dirty from start to finish. Room was also not very clean and I saw no perks for being a Hilton Honors Silver VIP. The manager should be able to do better than this.
