Relaxing Weekend Getaway

The hotel is beautiful & clean. The room is not huge but it was big enough for my husband & me. the kitchen is well-equipped. If you are staying for more than a couple of days, take advantage of it and stock up on drinks & snacks from the nearby grocery stores (Publix & Winn-Dixie). the hotel is not directly on the beach but its only a very short walk to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that we had to pay $18/day for parking. But that is the norm for most of the resorts on the island. Overall, it was a good experience.

This was our second visit to the Marco Beach Ocean Resort and it was as wonderful as our first. We were so glad that we stayed here again. The service is fabulous...turn down service, chocolates on your pillow with robes and slippers waiting! The resturant Sale Pepe is a special treat! It was one of our best vacations. Every staff member was so nice, polite and helpful. I give it my highest recommendation!

Stayed here for 10 days and had a good time. I will start with the good. Beach beautiful, chairs, umbrellas provided, towels too. The staff was friendly and Marco Island is really nice with many good places to eat nearby. The room had a nice small kitchen and had a enough room for my family of four. The bad: the pool was too small, valet parking $18.00 a day plus tips can add up. Our room need some repairs broken mirror on closet door, stained carpet but the maid did an excellent job cleaning. Stay in the upper floors above 8 to get a gulf view the lower floors are blocked by a restaurant.

Great Service, Small Rooms

Stayed five nights in March. Positives - Outstanding service. More staff then I have ever seen for such a small hotel., and everyone, from the Front Desk, Concierge, Bell Stand, Pool and Beach Personnel, always had a smile and was very eager to help. The beach is wide and nice. It is not a perfect powdery sand. Some shells are mixed in, but not so many as to detract significantly. Food and service at the upscale restaurant were outstanding, though a little pricey. Pool is nicely heated but a little undersized. Negatives - We would stay here again because of the OUTSTANDING service, but be aware rooms are VERY small and while technically beachfront, it is a long walk to the beach. Since all rooms have separate bedroom and living room/kitchenette, we assumed there would be ample space. There isn't. Total living space is about the same as a typical hotel room, and with a wall between the living/bedroom, space is tight. Rooms and furniture are nice but not "Ritz" quality. Still I prefer this room by far over one at the Marriott down the street. Almost all properties on the island are set back on the far side of the dune/protected area, but this hotel is further set back then all others with a large restaurant and parking between you and the beach. It is a manageable walk, but far enough that you can't hear the waves from your balcony! Exercise room is old and dated. Hard to get motivated by it. Certainly not a Ritz, and a larger property like Marriott might be better if you have kids, but nowhere I would rather stay on the Island.

The location of this hotel is wonderful, as is Marco Island itself & its wonderful beach. Very attentive and friendly staff here. 2 bedroom suite was very spacious & always kept very clean. Wonderful furnished patio was nice for sitting out in the evening. Pool was never crowded and it too was always clean. I would highly recommend this hotel & will look forward to staying here again myself.
