We stayed here when we went on a halibut charter with my husbands work. We went into the restaurant and sat down. We ordered sodas to drink and it took them 10 mins. so we just left. There is a LOT of little Alaska themed stores on the Homer spit you can walk to from this hotel. This July 2006 we are going again to this hotel. We are staying 2 nights. We are going to do more Halibut fishing ! If you stay at this hotel you have to charter a charter boat and go Halibut fishing ! The crew on the boat will teach you how. Its only a 3-4 min. walk from the hotel.

This is a wonderful Alaskan Resort. The rooms on the ocean side have views that money can not buy. The resort is one of a kind with everything top notch. This is Alaska and the top hotels here may not be like the top hotels in New York or other large places, but the wilderness, views and people more than make up for any shortcommings.

Beautiful setting, and be sure to get a room that faces the water, otherwise, you're looking at the parking lot. Bathrooms are small, but adequate. The towels are cheap and small! I wouldn't recommend getting the package that includes dinner and a continental breakfast because we ended up spending more money. The food was OK, but I had to send mine back because it was cold. (This happened with breakfast too). This is probably the nicest hotel in Homer and I did enjoy my stay. I would come back but eat somewhere else.
