Delta Montreal Review

  • July 7, 2009
  • Rated 5 of 5 by a traveler from Travelocity.com
An excellent property located in a prime downtown spot. Close proximity to several restaurants, main shopping district, and entertainment venue(s). Public areas were well maintained; spa/pool/locker/workout areas were immaculate and spacious. Hotel personnel was professional and customer focused. Restaurants were a tad pricey, but high-end quality and service. Hotel room was spacious with highend, comfortable bedding. For the money, this property can't be beat - I will stay here again!

I have never written a review and I thought I would never, but after stayed in this Montreal Delta (475 Avenue Du Pr?sident-Kennedy), I have to. This is top of my worst experience in a so called 4 star hotel : First, once we enter the room, my kids found some dirty beer caps still on the floor, room was not properly clean, and they almost hurt their feets, lucky my boy still had his socks on! And about 15 minutes later, 2 other guests just entered our room in the middle of our changing our clothes, we called front desk and they said will send someone a set of new access cards right away. After 3 hours, nobody showed up and I tried to called more than 10 times in between to the front desk and no one answers. Finally, I have to try to call the operator and connect to the front desk and after a long ring, someone answered and send us the new access cards. When I told me about how the room condition to the staff, all she said was "OH!" Very bad service and experience and I very close to check out but was very tired after been travel almost a week ahead before Montreal, our last destination of the trip. I have been in Montreal over dozens of times and this was the first time I stayed in Delta Montreal and I will never never stay in Montreal Delta again even they pay me for it!

Comfortable Hotel at a Reasonable Price

Stayed here for around $150 a night total for a 3 day weekend. I arrived late so they had me stay in a downgraded room but threw in free parking for the three days. Nice little pool and gym on the premises that provided just enough exercise to not feel like a waste for the weekend. The front desk is very friendly and accomadating. Great location, within walking distance of most of the nighlife. Cab ride from Old Montreal. Got the best rate from Hotels.com, Premier room for less than Delta on their website.

Good Hotel

This is a good hotel for the cost and is centrally located. I had meetings at the convention center and it was a nice walk each morning. I liked that it was near Mont Royal, the Metro, and Rue Saint Catherine (for shopping) and still not far from the convention center. The elevator was very slow in the afternoons/evening, however. Be ready to wait for a few minutes to be able to board an elevator.

Great location, good service - very prompt, clean and if you can upgrade to the comfortable beds - its worth it.
