I liked the hotel, although I'm a Hilton man. The bed was awesome, however everything costs. There was a fee for parking; a fee for the internet (12.95 per 24/hr); there was a fee for tooth-paste forget complimentary; O and just in case you think you can use the internet in the busniess office without incuring a fee-think again, 2.95 just to start and .59 per minute. And the food wasn't great at all. The Palace is the restaurant on site, and all their full course meals were over 27.00. Started out with a salad and my tomatoes were hard and barely ripe, but the Lobster Bisque was great. Overall, it's a nice hotel, but why pay when you can get if free at another equally if not better hotel. Will I stay again? Sure, when I want to throw away money, which won't be any time soon.

Gala event for company opening

Our company decided to host our Gala event for the corporate opening at the W Hotel Buckhead. The feedback we received from our guest (over 170) and our VIPs was very good. The food and beverages were excellent, service was at its best, and the hotel left an excellent impression. After the party we visited the Whiskey Blue bar which was the final highlight of the evening. Considering the fact that there are so many hotels and function places in Atlanta, the W Hotel Buckhead is the pace to go.

Love/Hate

Loved the rooms and the professional staff. Hated the nickel and dime policies. $6.95 for 15 minutes of WiFi. $1.00 to add ice to your drink at the bar. No hot water in the late afternoon. Charged twice for parking. "minor construction" was not entirely accurate.

Convenience

Hotel was undergoing a ton of contruction!! The bar wasn't open until the afternoon of my check out, Swan Room is a little dingy. Didn't eat at the restaurant, but room service was decent. Clean throughout, very polite staff. Would stay again due to ease of Marta transportation via the airport shuttle.

Great food, comfy beds, kind staff

What a lovely surprise this hotel turned out to be. Despite being in the process of renovating the existing building--one of the hotel's two pools was closed--we found the accomodations to be somewhat on the small side, but quiet and pretty posh for the price. Room service was the best I've had in a while; the kitchen managed to make sushi-style tuna and kid-friendly cheese pizza that satisfied both parents and small children. And when a mini bar charge showed up on the bill that we hadn't actually incurred, the front desk staff made it go away, graciously and quickly. The next time we wind up with a night to spend in Atlanta, our family will spend it here.
