My wife and I stayed at the Aina Nalu in Lahaina, Hawaii on our honeymoon in June 2008. We are writing this review together and between us we can't think of anything bad to say about our time there. From the moment we were greeted at the open-air front desk with leis we were impressed. Our spacious and modern island decor condo was very clean. Some of the amenities we enjoyed were the beautiful stone showers, private balcony, well equipped kitchen, and washer and dryer. The location is just far enough from downtown to be quiet while within walking distance of all of the fun things in Lahaina- perfect for honeymooning. We recommend taking advantage of the concierge service the first morning you arrive to help plan your activities. We had such a nice time that we ditched our bed and breakfast to come back for a second stay!
Convenient and no driving while in Lahaina

Super friendly check in. Make sure to get a room that is not on the highway-side of the complex (too much road noise). We stayed there March 4-6 2009 and the entire complex was recently and beautifully refurbished. IIt looks to be the nicest accomodations in Lahaina. One can certainly get moe upscale accomodations on Maui, but this one is walking distance to the historical sites, restaurants, shops, and galleries of Lahaina.
Small gripes, though: The AC unit in the living room was exceedingly noisy. The maintenance folks did not have a replacement unit and repairing the unit could have not been done until after our stay was over. This is likely a problem unique the one unit and not the complex as a whole. The sofa sleeper mattress, like most sofa sleeper mattresses, was terrible.
Overall, a nice condo-hotel in a great location.
Very impressed!!!

This was my first time in Hawaii and my family and I stayed at Aina Nalu and loved it! I never write reviews but I had to come back and write on our experience on this hotel. First, the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Very pictureque and the pool!!! Wow, very nice, warm, inviting water. It felt like silk to the skin. The rooms were awesome, all updated and very nice with a kitchette so we were able to save money by eating in the room at times. I just really enjoyed the stay here and will come back to it.
The location was not on the beach, but just a walk to downtown. So it's what you prefer. But I would recommend it to my friends and family for sure.
Amazing place

My wife and I recently had our honeymoon/1 year anniversery here. We read about construction complaints in previous reviews. All construction was finished and not an issue. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a 2 bedroom with a full kitchen, very nice. No beach view, but two blocks away from Lahina, beach and shopping. My wife and I walked there almost every night. Mostly everything was only a few minute drive away anyway. Room service came everyday and accomidated us with our requests. There was free wireless internet near both pools that you could get in some rooms. If you did not want to go to the pool, you could rent a land line in the room. We would definately recommend and plan on coming back.
