I booked a last minute trip to Jacksonville, from New York City on the weekend of 4/18/09. Going through a online website, wasn't sure what I was going to get. Everything was perfect, including this choice of hotel. The pool is a decent size, clean and well kept. The continental breakfast could be a tad bit better in choice, but far exceeded my expectations for the money I got the room for. There is a Dave & Buster's right down the street, a 5 minute walk. I-95 is right there too, as well as Interstate 115, 90 and 202. You are near a Super Wal-Mart, which is open 24 hours. The best part is that I was able to go into Savannah, Georgia and down to St. Augustine, not being far from the hotel. The rooms are quiet, clean and safe. The staff is friendly and knowledgable.
The worst hotel stay ever

A faulty map link landed us in this terrible hotel near nothing but the interstate. It was near empty and it's easy to see why with cramped rooms, terribly hard beds and no service to help us out with the situation we were in. We planned the trip down by the water where their map showed them. We received nothing but aggravation from X. and he stuck us in a room by the ice machine in this near empty hotel as if he had no where else to place us. They aren't queen size beds either. They're hard little doubles. As soon as I returned from my trip I went to the internet site and of course the map link is fixed, but I remember the picture of this hotel and everything else and know that it was listed wrong. So much for a nice holiday. I can't decide whether to hold it against all Best Westerns yet. I'll be letting corporate know and go from there.

We stayed 3 nights while visiting some family in JAX. There was no refrigerator which was very disappointing. The bed was way too soft and extremely uncomfortable and hard on backs. The location was wonderful, very easy to get to and close to our family. Lobby and breakfast area very well maintained. Breakfast was very nice. Rooms fairly clean, staff very nice. OK but probably would opt for a different place next time.
