my wife and I came here for our second wedding anniversary, never having been to Sante Fe. i did some research and las palomas seemed like the right fit for us. this is a historic place. some of the buildings are 200 years old. if you want brand new, stay at the comfort inn near the freeway. if you want rustic old world sante fe, you have to try this place. the rooms are very clean and updated. the pictures are a little misleading but not by much. ask for rooms in the 100 year old building instead of 200. they're nicer. great free breakfast with made to order waffles and lattes and free parking which at some other places can run you 20 bucks a night. location is perfect, can walk to everything. we'll stay here again.
ONLY FOR THE BED AND BED CLOTH I WILL NOT RECOMEND IT AT ALL.

great location but i didn't like it at all!!!!! is nothing like the pictures!!!!! the bed was the worst thingggggg!!!!!!! my back still hurts, its really overprice!!!!the bed sheets are old and the pillows very old..not clean to me, I didnt want to sleep on that bed. ONLY FOR THE BED AND BED CLOTH I WILL NOT RECOMEND IT AT ALL. THE LADY ON THE FRONT DESK, WAS VERY KIND, THE COKIES THEY SERVE AS COMPLEMENTARY ARE THE BEST TOO. NEVER AGAIN..
Misrepresentation

Well, we just arrived in Santa Fe after spending 2 wonderful nights in Taos and a amazing hotel. We had reservations at Las Palomas for 2 months now. I chose this hotel because of the photographs. It looked like a nice place to stay. We arrived to check in.....stood there for 10 minutes and not a soul in site. While waiting we walked around the grounds to find nothing but dissapointment. This place was NOTHING like the pictures that the online travel website depicted. We had just stayed at a amazing hotel/spa in Taos for $*** per night and came to Las Palomas and was paying $***a night. What a rip off. We went over to the Colorado hotel across the street to find a upscale hotel for $*** per night. We tried to cancel and they would not let us get out of the deposit. They offered us to stay at there sister hotel, Hotel Santa Fe which we agreed to do. That place was a bit dissapointing also for $*** per night, however, they honored their rate of $***which was still a rip for what you got. In summary, Las Palomas is NOT worth $*** per night. It is worth maybe $**per night. So my advice to you is ..... shop around the Santa Fe hotels before you decide on Las Palomas. It is very misrepresented in the photos.

stayed 3 nites at las palomas---casita style with gas fireplace was wonderful...outside patios with rocking chairs and fireplaces. room was clean and so santa fe atmosphere----2 blocks from plaza was perfect... breakfast was superb and staff very helpful and courteous---recommended where to eat and shop----would stay here again----you must eat at georgia o'keefe restaurant while you are here too.....

With the exception of the location being very close to the plaza everything else was terrible! The staff with the exception of a couple gentlemen were very rude. I'm not sure what they cleaned in the room each day but they did replace the towels but that was it. I didn't expect the Ritz Carlson but I could have done without the nails and cobwebs in the ceiling. I was very disappointed with the overall stay for the cost!
