Decent Hotel - Terrible Internet Access

I recently was in Durango for business. I was there for 6 days. One of the key features I look at in a hotel is that they have internet access. The "wireless" internet access at this hotel was absolutely terrible. I could get connected to the wireless no problem. Signal in my room was fair to good. What did not work was the constant outage. I spent one day over two phone sessions darn near 2 hours with GlobalSuite, the internet provider, trying to resolve the issue. The would put me on hold, come back and tell me they ran some maintenance on the connections and it should be ok. 5 to 10 minutes later same issue as before, constant packet loss and disconnects. I know it was not my laptop as I would use the wireless at a customer site all day and have no issues at all. I checked the computer in the lobby, which was wired, and it had no issues either. The blatant disregard for a customers request to fix what was broken will keep me from coming back to this hotel. When I mentioned it to the people at the front desk they said they were not having any issues. Of course not, all those computers were using a wired connection.
Overall the rooms were clean, beds comfortable, cable reception on the TV was very clear and the free breakfast, while the same every morning, was good.

We booked 2 rooms for this hotel. The rooms were just ok. The first floor is a smoking floor and it wreaks of smoke smell just walking to the elevator to get to the upper floors. They are also doing some plumbing on the first floor which doesn't help the smell. The location is out of the way, but the staff is pleasant and the breakfast was good. I would not stay here again.
