Spa is great but not worth the trip!

My Fiance and I went to this resort looking to enjoy the desert climate and take part in some spa treatments. We were told that this resort was a great destination, I was very impresseed apon arrival. The resort looked great from the outside. We were given a room on the back of the resort, which seemed like miles from anything! When we entered the room I was suprised to find insects crawling in the light fixtures. Not the fixtures in the celing but the fixtures next to the bed! We were moved into a room with the same problem. That's two rooms, two problems. While callilng the front desk the electricity went off! That's right, the entire building went black. No a/c, no lights! Now you have to understand, it's 102 outside and no a/c or light's. The front desk was not to concerned that we are not enjoying our stay, so far! With some effort, I get them to put us in a different room. One with no bugs, with light and a/c and a little closer to the pool that the lady who booked me, had promised. We made the best of it and enjoyed the pool and spa. Great spa service and fantastic pool! With so many fine resorts in the desert, I would never recomend this one to any of my friends, maybe some enemies, but no friends!

Beautiful Place to stay

We stayed one night to celebrate our anniversary. It was a gorgeous hotel. There are two pools one for adults only and the other for families. That was probably my favorite part. It was nice to be gauranteed that our get away from our own children was not going to be spent with other peoples children. The people were friendly. The food was excellent. They actually had enough of a family environment that I will probably be back again with the kids. If there was one negative, it was they were understaffed. If you are looking to be spoiled by the wait staff and have them wait on you hand & foot, this is not your place. If you are looking to be left alone for a romantic getaway. I highly suggest checking it out.

Great resort for Family of Three

I came to the resort with my husband and my 10 month old daughter, the pool was great, we spent a lot of time there. Since my daughter is almost walking, we love all the grassy areas that they have so she can crawl and walk around safely. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. Definitley I would recommend it.

Customer Service very important here

The Miramonte had overbooked the first night of our vacation and set us up at a nearby hotel. We had a unfortunate experience at that hotel and the staff at the Miramonte were excellent in trying to make us feel better. For the hassle of us staying somewhere else the first night we were upgraded to a suite and comped dinner at the restaurant on site. Everyone was very nice and helpful, this would include the front desk, managers, asst managers, bell men, bartender, pool servers, and other staff. Love having robes in the room. The T.V. was nice and large. Room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Also LOVED that they provided two towels on the lounges by the pool with more to choose from if you wished. It was very nice to have the water cooler by the pool (water was infused with cucumber and lemon??? very refreshing). Customer service seems to be something that they instill in their staff. Would definitely go back.

only go if the rate is under 150 a night

we went for my father in laws 75th birthday and he really wanted to splurge. the rate was over 300 dollars a night (first time he has ever paid this much in his life, but it was his special occasion). the main pool was under a messy construction (not disclosed by travel agency or the hotel) only a tiny pool in the back was open with scattered drink-food service - our rooms had a motel 6 type view of the parking lot. On the floor outside the main door to our building floor was a sanitary napkin wrapper that was there for the entirety of our stay. Rooms were not cleaned until after 3pm. I went to the spa with my mother in law - she paid 100 dollars for a 30 minute massage, i ended up paying 100 dollars for a pedicure, that was no better than the 25 dollar pedicure i get at home (i dont mind paying more for a lovely spa, but this one wasn't worth it), TOTALLY OVERPRICED The food was ok, Service was generally adequate. I was really angry when we went to La Quinta (a stunning resort we assumed was out of our price range) for dinner and i checked at the desk, and the room rate was LESS than what we paid. Miramonte should be MAX a 150 dollar a night hotel at best. Only go if there is a sale! Check La Qunita first!
