Orleans Hotel Las Vegas, NV

Great experience. The Orleans is a beautiful hotel with extremely friendly & helpful employees. Received a 2-nite stay for the price of one nite special price and don't know if they made a mistake but my $* room was a 2-room mini suite - GORGEOUS. Forgot my paperwork confirmation but they had everything ready for me upon my arrival. Large bathroom, but no kitchen type amenities not even a coffemaker. That's so you have to go downstairs and pass the slot machines to get anything. Restaurants were excellent. Will definitely stay there again.

Would not stay here again

I ran into a problem with a credit card here and found staff to be unhelpful and rude overall. The clerk who was checking me in and the manager who was also at the front desk did not know the hotel's policy regarding credit card authorization procedures. I ended up having to pay cash+ security deposit for the room. I finally talked to a desk clerk the next day who did know what she was talking about, and she took care of the credit authorization for me. Why did the manager not know that the hotel can accept credit cards with a signed authorization form faxed to them? The hotel also turned off the extra room services (internet, movies) because I paid cash initially. Even after they approved and charged my credit card, they never unblocked the extra rooms services. My room service order was also screwed up twice. The beds weren't too comfortable, and they only had a double sheet and thin blanket covering them. Now I know why this place is so inexpensive (I was only here to see a concert - I'd never stay someplace like this otherwise!).

Stayed in September 2008

Will never stay here again. I never heard of a open closet in the bathroom. Stayed for one night and couldn't wait to leave. The resort fee is just a way for the hotel to make money off services you will not use.

A city within a city

Registration was a breeze, and I got what I requested: A quiet, clean, and comfortable room away from the ice machine and elevators. While there, I utilized the fitness center (very complete), the theater (1st run movies), restaurants (great variety of them) and did a little gambling on some slots (came out even)....what more could one ask for? Maybe, if I had time, I would have taken advantage of the bowling alleys or shows. This truly is a city within a city, far enough away from the glitz and glitter of the Strip, if that's not your style.
