Best Deal in Vegas

I was skeptical about staying away from the strip. I normally stay at higher end hotels for a lot more money. This hotel is truly a pleasant surprise. The rooms and the hotel are clean and there is lots to do. Now don't go expecting to get the decor and amenities of the Bellagio, but at the price it is well worth it. They really kind of miss on the whole New Orleans theme and could probalby use some redecorating. Nonetheless the place is clean and they have many different options to eat. I had a car so going back and forth to the strip and downtown was a breeze. It's also very close to the Palms so it's easy to party hard. The courtyard Cafe is a great place to eat with awesome prices. I would definitely stay again for the price.

6 night stay at Orlens

The rooms were larger than most hotels and very clean. The beds were execellent. We were on the 17th floor and the water pressure in the shower could have been better. But one nice feature in the shower was that the window opened wide to let out all the steam and you could look out at the city. I requested a frig at check-in and it was delivered only a couple of minitues after I got in the room...very fast service.

Great Stay

We stayed for 8 days with the kids and had a great time. The kids loved playing at kids tyme. I read all the reviews at the hotels before we booked and I have to say the Orleans had the best ratings for the money and they delivered. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. My wife and I had our "date night" while there at Canal Street, one of their nice restaurants and we had a great time. We will defintely stay again.

Inhospitable and lost our corporate business

Our company had used the Orleans for years as a base of operations during Las Vegas-based conventions and trade shows. But in the spring of 2008, the new CEO was evicted from his room, to make room for an incoming cheerleaders' convention. We thought we had the room, and were in fact occupying the room, but the front desk thought otherwise. We were threatened with the use of force if we did not vacate the room. No attempt was made to find us another room at another hotel, nor was any compensation offered for our inconvenience. As a result, one of our directors spent the last night of the Las Vegas trade show on a sofa in the hotel's casino. Because of this extremely unpleasant experience, our company has moved its business to a different hotel.

Not too shabby

When first arriving at the hotel, we realized we had two beds, we only reserved one. They fixed this problem and gave us complimentary hockey tickets as well. The buffett kinda lacked a little something but the breakfast buffett was pretty good. The food court has a little for everyone. All in all, a great experiance. The hotel/casino is known for it being a "locals" casino, located about 2 miles from the strip, very goo place to just relax from the tourism.
