Quote: The hotel is located right downtown and is close to the two casinos which is a plus if that is what you are going here for. The building is old but was clean and has been updated. If you don't care about old downtown or casinos or don't mind a short... Read the full Holiday Inn Dubuque Five Flags review

Smallest Pool I Have Ever Seen

  • 3 out of 5 stars A traveler from Travelocity.com
  • April 13, 2009
Quote: The hotel was ok, but the pool and hot tub were very small. When I first got there I saw the pool and thought it was the hot tub. Wrong. The hot tub was about the size of the bath tub. The bottom of the pool had sand in it too. At least I hope... Read the full Holiday Inn Dubuque Five Flags review

Quote: Staff was awesome, and location was great. The towels in the rooms were stained pretty bad. I've stayed there before, and would go back. That is the only negative I've had in 2 different stays. The whirlpool is like bathtub size for a hotel of that... Read the full Holiday Inn Dubuque Five Flags review

When we got to our room we discovered old take out food under the counter (complete with flies). Later we found used bobby pins and a frito in... Read the full Holiday Inn Dubuque Five Flags review

Quote: For the cost I expected a little better. Non smoking was filled and had to have a smoking room, which smelled. Staff were clueless on day-to-day operations. Steak at Porters was cold, not even cooked. Great Location though downtown.

We were given a room on the concierge floor, but there was no concierge, no free breakfast, no special amenities whatsoever Front desk had no knowledge of my prepaid reservation, and tried to charge me...
