Love Gorges Grant!

This hotel was absolutely beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The location was right on the main street close to shopping and the beaches. There is a trolley that will also pick you up and take you but we chose to drive around. The wait that day was particularly long and we did not want to waste any time. The room was very well layed out and plenty of room. There were four of us to get ready in the morning and it was so easy because there was a separate dressing area next to the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. We all slept great. Everywhere we went it was very clean and that was important to me. I would definitely stay here again.

Our Favorite Place - Gorges Grant Hotel

We decided to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary at our favorite town - Ogunquit, ME, and our favorite hotel - the Gorges Grant Hotel. Over the past 15 years, we have enjoyed many stays here. Ogunquit, and the surrounding region offers beautiful scenery and many diverse activities. The Gorges Grant Hotel is both elegant and home-like. Everyone on the staff is very friendly and hospitable, including the management personnel. They all seem to take great pleasure in pleasing the hotel's patrons. The rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. Breakfast at the Hotel's restaurant "Rasberri's" is outstanding. The food preparation is excellent, the menu choices are superb, and the efficient and pleasant serving personnel all makes for an extremely pleasing experience. We have recommended the Gorges Grant Hotel to family and friends, many of whom have in turn also experienced repeated stays at the Hotel.

Its not the hotel's fault

We were hoping for a place to work with a view of the water. The hotel didn't have that. It did have beautiful gardens and a nice hot tub and a really good breakfast. The first room they showed us was damp and you could smell the room freshener. I asked for a change and they accommodated us. We couldn't go to the room on the second floor we had booked because there was no elevator and no one to help us get a heavy piece of health machinery up the stairs. The kitchen made a mistake with my breakfast, replaced it and didn't charge. The waitresses were very nice. There is a trolley that stops in front of the hotel and goes to the beach. That way you can have a lovely day in the town and not have to worry about parking a car at the beach at $* an hour. The hotel had a lovely lobby. The hot tub was good, the pools were OK. Next time I will stay by the water, but if you don't mind the trolley and you don't want to pay the big bucks, this place would be OK.

1st time staying at this hotel - spacious clean room - very quiet - did not use pool or eat in restaurant but both looked clean and neat - will be staying here again
