The Hard (Rock) Truth

The Hard Rock is a great hotel and I really enjoyed my stay there. A few things to note - there is construction going on, it can be noisy, and the hotel is off the strip. All of these things can be good and bad. I heard the construction a few times as I had a pool view room on 7th floor but it wasn't anything I couldn't deal with. If you?re a light sleeper, then it may affect you, otherwise your good. The hotel is off the strip, this didn't bother me b/c it was a less crowded and quieter atmosphere which can be nice at times. The casino is smaller then average I would say, but that didn't bother me either as it gave a more intimate feel. The staff was great and every question I had was answered or taken care of. The music that plays in the hotel is great, never heard a bad song while there not to mention the rock n' roll memorabilia is plastered everywhere and neat to view. The rooms are comfy and spacious. The TV can be a bit hard to navigate, but it was nice to have a 40 plus inch LCD hanging on the wall. The hotel offers several dining options all of which are decent - Pink Taco, Lucky 7's, Ago, and Nobu - I recommend them all!
My disclaimer - everyone is different and has different needs/standards. The Hard Rock is a Vegas Hotel a bit off the beaten path and not as glitzy as the ones on the Strip, but it makes the grade and I would stay there again! Especially once the expansion/improvements are completed! Enjoy your stay!

This hotel was nice. The only problem I had was not knowing that when I checked in they wanted to put a $*** per night (3x150=450) on my credit card. They already charge you $7.38 per night for fees for the shuttle, business center, and other services. I was also told that the mini bar in the room had a sensor and if anything was moved I would be charged. Besides for the charges, the pool view room was nice with a great bed.The shuttle service was on time and Lucky's restruant had a great variety of food.

The room we had as guest of Hard Rock Hotel and Casino was spaceous, clean and comfortible. All of the staff that we dealt with was courtious, polite and friendly. However it would of have been nice to know that the hotel was under going construction. It was a pleasant wake up call at 5:00 am every morning from the heavy eqipment and jack hammers.Other wise we had a very pleasant stay. And would love to visit Hard rock again. After they finish building the Hotel! I am a very light sleeper, and conditioned to be alert at the faintest sound. So the noise maynot affect others the same way as it does me.But i think i'll wait a few months before visiting again.Over all i find no real fault with Hard Rock.Be sure to try Mr Luckey's resterant inside the hotel.

We knew this hotel was a taxi ride away from the strip but had been advised that it was THE place to stay...wrong. Our room was so so, the sink did not drain at all. The pool was closed which was a huge disappointment because it was 75+ degrees our entire visit and one of the biggest attractions. We were kept awake by a roasting room even though the AC was cranked to the max and then the sounds of construction early in the morning. There is not much to do at all: a small casino, 2 restaurants, 1 shop. We will most definitely stay on the strip next time, the cost of taxi rides more than made up for a much nicer hotel in the middle of all the action.

Hard Rock Hotel has a policy I wasnt made aware of at the time of booking. When I went to the registration desk they told me they charge a fee of $ dollars a day on your debit or credit card for incidentials which will be refunded to you when you check out. If you use a debit card it takes 5 days to show back up in your account.
Also there is a $7 a day fee added to your bill for hotel upkeep, which they dont tell you till you leave ,that fee is non-.refundable.
The Hard Rock is a beautiful hotel and the rooms are very comfortable.
