The LaSalle Hotel, located on the top floor of 1st. Financial Plaza, is an older but great place to stay on your' trip to Chicago. The view of downtown Chicago is awsome. Staff service is excellent. One drawback is no room service but the morning continental breakfast is good, a 5 star restaurant is on the same floor and there are plenty of places in the area to eat. Transportation is close by (the el loop is next to the building) and most places are within walking distance (I don't recomend driving yourself). If you do plan to stay at this hotel and are driving yurself I would advise you to call ahead and get detailed instructions on where you park. The, secured and guarded, lot is under the building and hard to find if you have never been there before. All in all I would highly recomend this hotel if you are planning a trip to Chicago.

Incredibly private and quiet. The room and bathroom were both massive. The view of the financial district at night was incredible

My husband and I honeymooned for the second week of our honeymoon. The view was incredible. The gym is one of the best I have ever been to, you overlook the traffic on the treadmill. It is in the financial district which makes for a weekend of traveling to a different part of the city to eat anything besides Dunkin Donuts. Besides that, out stay was wonderful.

This is a beautiful property, if somewhat difficult to find. Its location is THE major drawback. Despite an outstanding fitness facilty, the South Loop location left us feeling quite isolated. There is nothing around this hotel. Even getting food is an ordeal. But for the business traveler, it could be an outstanding set up. Michigan Ave, either Loop or Magnificnet Mile, hotels
or River North hotels are much better choices for the general traveler.

40th Floor penthouse view. No view is bad view. Great Price too! Very secure as this is primarily a business building. A hidden Gem in Chicago. You have to stay here on a Saturday. Chicago has fireworks every Saturday at 10pm. We turned the couch around to face the window so that we could see the fireworks. Had a great time, would stay again!
