Avoid this hotel if possible.

There were several problems with their wireless internet service. The room was musty smelling, carpet was dirty, found a spider leg between the sheets when I turned down the bed, tub was filthy and the owner was standing behind me at the ice machine scolding me to not use more than two ice buckets full(I had my small cooler with me and he probably figured I was going to fill it up). The location is excellent....but that's the only thing about that business stay that was. Unless forced, I will never stay there again.

Worst motel experience ever

I only stayed in this motel due to overcrowding in the Albany area due to the NY bar exam. The star quality given to this motel by travel website is a far cry from what this place really is. The bathroom was absolutely flithy - showered wearing flip flops. Upstairs guests that we met in passing reported that they saw roaches in the hallway. The outside doors were not locked at night although they had key entry pads which would lead you to assume they would be. The hallways were dirty, carpets were ripped, and there was a faint unpleasant odor throughout the premises. It was a terrible experience and I would highly advise that no one stay at this motel.

STINKY

I was desperate for a room and opted for the only one left at the econolodge and it was a smoking room. I will NEVER stay in a smoking room at this establishment. The smoking room was in a section of the hotel where all the rooms were smoking and the hotel room literally smelt like an ashtray. it took 4-5 days for my luggage and clothing to shake that awful smell. also, the rooms on the first floor overlook the parking lot and provide easy access through an easily opened window for anyone who wants to jump in the room. not the safest location. finally, the hotel was dirty and there were flies in my room and someone else's food left in the room's mini-fridge.

a fair place to stay

This hotel is about what you'd expect from a discount chain. The price wasn't too low, though. I had to stay in a smoking room (it was all that was available) and the smell was very strong, even over-powering. But, otherwise it was plain but not bad. The service was friendly and fine. The only objection was to the "breakfast" which was pathetic- tang or something liked that offered instead of juice. Even frozen juice would be a massive improvement. Otherwise it's not at all fancy but fine and fairly conveniently located.

It's ok for the price, but the shower didn't work and instead of moving us, they just asked us to shower in the room next door.
