The hotel is in a great location - 10 minutes from the Eiffel Tower, 10 minutes from the Arc de Triumph. The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating -- our flight arrived very early on a Friday morning and the staff made our room available early. The hotel rooms need a little updating -- some have been but we were in the older section -- they are clean and comfortable though. All of this is a small price for the wonderful location -- you can walk pretty much anywhere and also get on the metro within a few blocks. There are cafes all around as well as a small grocery right next door. We were in Paris to enjoy all the sites and just sleep at the hotel! I highly recommend taking one of the double-decker, hop-on/hop-off tour buses (you can get one at the Eiffel tower) -- great way to see the sites and get to know your way around. The hotel staff arranged for our cab back to the airport (right on time, as scheduled). All in all, I would recommend this hotel for a great location to see Paris -- I don't know that I'd want to honeymoon there, but was great for a Mom traveling with her daughter!

Great Hotel with Great Staff

We just came back from a 5-night trip to Paris for the first time. The hotel is in a great location and it has all the ammenities necessary. The best plus besides the location are the staff. They were very helpful and very responsive to all our requests. I would stay here again next time we visit Paris. We got a room facing the street with great view of the Eiffel Tower. There is a convinience store right next door with a great italian restaurant also next door. Right around the corner there are more cafes with a view of the Arc de Triomphe at the end of the street. There are two metro stations near by. Given this was my first time in Paris I was a little aprehensive about using the Metro but once you get it....it is easy!.

The receptionist is fantastic! She spoke great English and was very informative and friendly. We had a balcony room that one could see the Eiffel tower from. The tower was about a 15 minute walk. The Arc de Triomphe was about 5-10 minute work. There is a grocery store next door. Buy some wine and take a nice walk and enjoy the evenings but going forward it may be a little too cool. Take the open bus tour. Take the night river tour. All can be purchased at the front desk. The Metro is cheap. Make sure you request a "Taxi" if you need a ride but be prepared for "a ride." Cars have the right of way and they are extremely agressive. The hotel is older but clean. It's on a small street off of Kleber which is a major street. The Metro is close as well. It's not a US hotel. So don't expect lots of room and luxuries. For the money, it was a good deal. The location made it a great deal.

Great Location and Really Friendly Staff

You really can't get any better location on a budget. The room was like staying at an old cottage that had charm; it was clean, the staff were mega friendly, and it was affordable (even a big carafe of coffee was only 5€). It is not the Four Seasons and it does not pretend to be. It is comfortable and genuine. Down the road is a great cafe / bakery. It has the best little pizzas, salads, quiche, you name it (to eat in or takeaway). Just walk straight up Rue Hamelin (walking away from the Eiffel Tower) and it is to the left. It has a brownish sign and is on the left side (I believe it is on Rue Copernic), you can see it from the bank on the corner. I found it on my last day, but I would have eaten lunch and breakfast there everyday; it was that good and cheap. 5-10 minutes and you are at the Eiffel Tower. Very nice.
