Super location but could use some updating

Couldn't ask for a better location in Paris! Two blocks from the Arc de Triomphe and a short walk to the Eiffel Tower. The hotel is charming and quaint - apparently an old townhouse or residence. Excellent continental breakfast. The hallways are narrow and the rooms are small and could use serious updating. I've slept in more comfortable beds. No coffee/tea in the room. The shower was actually tight. There's only one English language channel on the tube. Of course we didn't visit Paris to watch TV, but after a long day walking around the city it would be nice to be able to come back to the room and veg a bit while watching TV before zonking. The staff, by the way, was wonderful and did everything they could to answer our questions and be helpful in any way they could. This was a three star hotel. I think perhaps next time I'd spend a couple of extra bucks and try a four star hotel in the same area.

Great location

The hotel is not fancy, but perfect for those who are going to be out the whole day and just come back at night to sleep. The room is a little small, but most of the rooms in Europe are like that. The bathroom was nice and spacey, except for the toilet, that was separate from the bathroom and it was a very tiny room. The front desk staff were awesome; they helped us with everything we needed. They booked reservations, checked the times the museums were opened, gave us info about the subway, etc. It is very close to the Eiffel Tower , the Arc, Champs Elysee, you can walk to all these places. there are wonderful bakeries close by. But we found that if you had meals in other areas it was much better deal. We went to see the artists at Monmarte (I'm not sure I spelled that right), and even though it was a tourist spot the restaurants were a lot more reasonable. Do not buy anything at the shop located in the Eiffel Tower, you can find the same souvenirs at other places for 1/3 of the price. It is much cheaper to get the same stuff by the Notre Dame Cathedral. They have a lot of little shops with great prices, that includes the restaurant too.

Perfection!

Place was great; location was prestine...Got a great deal booking through online travel website...it's a 3 star; but we had 4 star service easily. Places to eat everywhere...10 minute walk to the Eiffel, 5 minute walk to Arch De Triumph, 2 Metro stops within a minute from the hotel...I really cant say enough good about this hotel. I will return!

WONDERFUL ANNIVERSARY VACATION

My wife and I spent a week in Paris for our 25TH wedding anniversary. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the staff was delighful, the view out our window was the Effiel Tower, wonderfully romantic. we received a bottle of champange on our anniversary, what a surprise! Restaurants, grocery and bakerynearby, classier shopping area up hill to the north, subway station less than a block away. Short walk to the Trocadero and Effiel Tower, then jump on the tour boat for taxi rides up the Seine to all the sights. Would not hesitate to stay her again. Quiet area. Wish we were still there and can't wait to go back. Never ate breakfast downstairs, but it appeared very good. Coffee was great. Visited 11/15 thru 11/22 2008.

Just what I expected. Great location, safe place. The room was small. Breakfast was NOT included. It would be 10 Euros per person if you were to pay for it. If you ordered the hotel off of their site, all those room included breakfast. It seems like the only people that did not get breakfast were us. There were many internet cafes around but you can use the Hotel's internet for 2.5 Euros for 15 minutes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our rooms were nicely cleaned each day. The rooms you see on the internet are their nicer rooms -- the room we got was smaller. The bathroom did have a bathtub. For the price, it was really worth it. It was located about a 10 minute walk to the Arc and about a 20 minute walk to the Eiffel tower. If you do choose this hotel, walk towards the Eiffel tower down Kleber street and you will find some nice restaurants at the round about.
