One bad Apple...

First impressions mean a lot and when I encountered a grumpy front desk clerk upon check in, it really put a damper on the rest of my stay; despite all other employees being kind and courteous. The front desk clerk didn't really explain anything regarding the hotel services to me and when I asked any questions she responded in a "huffy" tone. Additionally, she made it seem that I was asking too much of her when I asked her help because I could not get the hotel computer to make me a print-out. And oh yeah, I too also thought the breakfast was a bit expensive; a would have rather paid a few dollars more and made it complementary.

The breakfast is not complimentary - it is expensive!

I was very upset when I got up to enjoy what I thought was going to be a nice complimentary breakfast and found out that it was an additional cost. Not only was it not free - they charged $9.95 per person for it. An American cooked to order breakfast was listed as a feature of the hotel but it did not mention that it was available for an extra charge. I had chosen this hotel based on my assumption that it was complimentary like the other hotels in the area and like the other Mariott hotels that I had stayed in previously. I addressed by concerns with the person at the front desk and she sad she would tell the General Manager. Nice room and furnishings though! I felt jipped as i could have stayed somewhere else for the same money and gotten a good breakfast too. Good location - many restaurants nearby!

I have been staying here for years. Rarely have trouble with wireless internet. Staff is extremely accomodating. I have tried other properties in the area.

Great Getaway!

Hotel was very nice and clean. Rooms were spacious. Beds were new and extra comfy. Right across street from mall and several eating places. Stayed in the king spa suite. Would highly recommend. Spa was triangular shaped, jetted tub. Perfect for two!

Very disappointed-won

The hotel is supposed to be smoke-free, but our room reeked of cigar smoke. The complimentary breakfast buffet was depleted by 8:45 both mornings of our weekend stay. There was no manager on site and service was very poor. Next time for our money, we'll stay next door at the MCM Elegante.
