Weekend at the Palms

The room smelled like Ben Gay when we walked in and then there was a stain on the bed sheets and the bathroom floor had hair all over the place. Also, the sink was clogged so, it took forever for the water to drain. Also, I think that they should let the hotel guest go to the bars for free/complimentary. It was dead and they were still charging $25/head to get into the Ghost Bar.
Not Chic just priced that way

I was looking for something very chic similar to the W in NY but all I got was a shabby imitation. Even the non-smoking rooms smelled of smoke. The bed was very comfortable but all of the furniture was a little beat up. The pool was very cool but some of the staff was downright rude. The food at N9ne was amazing but everywhere else in the hotel the food was average at best.

The Palms was a lot of fun. I liked the clean, upscale, young atmosphere especially in comparison to every other hotel we saw on the strip. Large nightclub scene. When we checked in we were upgraded to a junior suite for no extra charge. I disliked the fact that we never could get our mini bar fridge to work after four calls to the front desk/room service people. The room was beautiful, bed was extremely comfortable, and we felt safe. We stayed during the week so our rates were significantly lower than those during the weekend. Didn't like having to walk/take a taxi to basically everything. Overall a great stay but next time we will try to stay somewhere closer to the majority of the strip.

We arrived late and on a slow night. Front desk upgraded our room without us needing to ask. Most amazing hotel room I've ever stayed in. Great breakfast buffet. Fresh food and good variety. Not as many shops as some of the other casinos. Remote location off the strip. Physically a non-descript pool, but the people make it a hub of activity. Good nightclub scene.
