Description: This was our first time staying off the Strip. The Embassy Suites was a lot cheaper than the hotels on the Strip, plus you get the cocktail hour and cooked-to-order breakfast each day. The lobby is a giant atrium with a wide variety of tropical plants and a pond with fish and swans named Elvis and Priscilla. The hallways all open on to the atrium. We had a room on the third floor with a view of the parking lot.
The room has a separate living room and bedroom, but there is no door separating the two rooms. There were two double beds in the bedroom area. The living room had a pullout sofa bed that was also a double. The bathroom was a standard size, with a telephone and a speaker in the bathroom that is tuned in to the bedroom TV. There is also a TV in the living room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The cook staff at breakfast was great. If you asked for just a little eggs, they would put just a drop on your plate as a joke or would overload it with a big pile of eggs. They were always telling us how beautiful we were (mind you, we went down there in our PJ's and no make-up). My only complaints are that you are close to the airport, so you do get airplane noise, and they have no blackout curtains. We wouldn't get in until 3am, and the sun would shine in the window at 6am. We got so desperate that we tried to tape the curtains to the wall, but it would not hold.
