Great Location

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in April of 2009. The location is fantastic. It is in the heart of everything. We did not rent a car while we were there, and honestly there was no need to. This hotel is steps away from all of the bars and about a 10 minute walk from Mallory Square (fantastic for watching the sunset). The roof-top pool was nice, but small. Perfect for relaxing, not a great place to stay with kids.
My one complaint about this hotel was the noise. Our hotel room overlooked Duval Street, and we could hear all of the street noise (loud, drunk people) all night long. If you stay here, you may want to request a room on the back side of the hotel.
With all that said, my husband and I would definitely stay here again.

The room was perfect clean,and the staff was very helpful would stay again was very happy with my stay . Location was great.

Unfair rating of 3 out of 5. It is so a five!! Far exceeds the Pier House, Marriot Reach, and the Hyatt where we had stayed on prior visits to our piece of Paradise!! Convenience to all!! Staff is topnotch and will do anything to make your trip the best ever!!!

We enjoyed our stay at La Concha.Room was clean and well kept.We didn't see any bugs.Staff was friendly and helpful.Beds were comfortable.Really enjoyed being in the center of Duval st.Close to everything.We were there March 23 2009.It was very quiet.Definitely would stay again.
Good Hotel, Great Location, No Rental Car Needed

We just stayed there for 4 nights. The room smelled like it was a smoking room that they converted to a non-smoking room. Sprayed a little Febreeze and it wasn't bad. Nice pool, pool bar, no jacuzzi. Good enough for the price. Didn't spend much time at the hotel anyway.
No need to rent a car. You can walk any where that you would want to go from Crown Plaza. The cost for a Taxi from the airport was a flat $7.50 a person. Several minute walk down to Mallory Square. A little bit longer than that to the east end of Duval.
There aren't any real good beaches that we saw except for the one at Fort Zachary State Park. It costs a few bucks to get in, but well worth it. I wish that we would have spent more time there or atleast watched a sunset from there. It is where the street sign in the beach is... showing xxxxmiles to Paris, Honolulu, etc.
